WHere is a home-style version of a beverage found on our latest drinks list. This is a large-volume premix that's loaded with the tastes of a holiday season, which makes it excellent for your celebration. Reserve the remaining syrup you can use for morning drinks, desserts, or to make more rounds of bikinis.
Bikini Recipe
Yields 10 guests
To make the Citrus Syrup (yields 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g fine sugar
To make the Premix (yields 850ml, serving 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (as made above)
A few cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Directions
To prepare the Cordial: Combine all the items inside a pot, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, agitating so the sugar melts. Then, remove from the heat allowing it to reach room temperature entirely. Decant to a sterilised bottle, cap it and store chilled, where it will keep for about four weeks.
For the Batch Mix: Mix the specified liquid ingredients into one big jug, let it rest for an hour, then pass it through best through a fine cloth, so it's completely strained.
When ready to serve: Pour 85ml from the batch mix to a cocktail shaker packed with ice, and stir carefully for about 60 seconds until cold. Filter into an cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, garnish with some cranberries and complete it by giving it a light spray of the essential oil above the glass.
